They'll break down in about 90 days if buried in a landfill, rather than sitting around in the environment for 100's of years like plastic. They're air-tight to keep lunch and snacks fresh and clean. Each box includes a removable divider and an elastic strap to keep the lid extra secure.  

How clever!  It is great to see brands considering the environmental effect their products have and come up with products that ensure they are recyclable or are able to biodegrade when disposed of.  Well done Beatrix!
